Commercial FAQ

This depends on what the city inspector sets the frequency at. If you are not required to report each clean out, we can come take a look, pump the interceptor and set a date to come back within 2 weeks to 2 months and set a frequency based on your needs/production and the thickness of the solids layer.

If there is slow draining, odor or overflow from lid/drain, you should have someone come take a look. It could be something as simple as a clog in the line or the tank/interceptor is overfull.

We are open Mon- Fri, however; if you are experiencing an emergency, we will get you in the next working day or refer you to someone who can help.

Anyone that has a grease interceptor or a septic tank. They all build up solids and sludge over time. In order to keep the system working correctly it is important to pump the sludge/solids/oil out to prevent the tank from becoming too thick to drain into the drain field or city sewer lines.

  1. Locate and Uncover the Tank: First, professionals locate the septic tank and uncover the access lids. Specialized equipment may be used to make this process faster and easier.
  2. Pump Out the Tank: A vacuum truck removes the accumulated sludge and scum layers from the tank. These layers consist of: SludgeSludge: Solid waste that settles at the bottom.
  3. Scum: Grease and oils that float to the top. Effluent: Liquid waste that exits the tank.
  4. Inspect the Tank: A visual inspection checks for signs of damage, such as cracks or leaks.
